The repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” has led this artist to come up with this idea to emphasize — albeit graphically–the idea that support of our troops should be in the form of added supplies, not sexualized behavior.

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Doesn’t Go Far Enough

By Dr. Tom Snyder, Editor

Congress and the Pentagon are considering this week whether to make homosexual behavior legal in the military.

Well, before they do that, maybe they should look at this recent study from the Family Research Institute back in January, based on real crime statistics from the Dept. of Defense (DOD).

According to the study, a homosexual male serviceman in the U.S. Armed Forces is more than five times likely to rape a fellow serviceman than a serviceman to rape a servicewoman, and a lesbian soldier or sailor is 10 to 20 times more like to rape another servicewoman than a servicewoman is to assault a serviceman, according to the DOD’s own figures on actual sexual assaults in the military.

These findings echo other studies showing that homosexuals and lesbians are three to four times or more, more likely to engage in child sexual abuse than heterosexual men and women.

The rape figures are extrapolated from two DOD studies in 2007 and 2008 of sexual assaults in the military.

These findings show why everyone must stop the new move by the new moves in Congress, the Pentagon and the Obama administration to allow homosexuals to serve openly in the U.S. military.

By the way, a homosexual teacher is 16 times more likely to sexually assault a student than a heterosexual male teacher, and a lesbian teacher is about three times more apt to do this than a straight female teacher.

“In country after country,” says Dr. Paul Cameron, chairman of the Family Research Institute, a think tank in Colorado Springs, “a gay teacher is the most apt to molest a pupil, Likewise, in newly released data from the Illinois Dept. of Children & Family Services, a gay foster parent and a gay adoptive parent is the most apt to molest a [child].

“Without exception, whether it is a teacher, a foster parent, or an adoptive parent, a man is more apt to molest than a woman. Also without exception, an adult who engages in homosexuality is more apt to molest a pupil, a foster child, or an adoptive child than one who doesn’t.”

The God of the Bible, in Leviticus 18:1-30, clearly says that such sexual immorality as homosexual behavior is wicked. And, in Mark 7:20-23, Jesus Christ clearly says that all forms of sexual immorality or sexual practices violating God’s laws, including homosexuality, are evil. Furthermore, Paul, Jude and John echo Christ’s condemnation of homosexuality in such verses as Romans 1:18-32, Jude 1:4, 7, 19, and Revelation 21:27.

The Good News is that, as Paul makes clear in 1 Corinthians 6:11, all wicked sinners, including those who engage in homosexual lust and homosexual acts, can be redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross and rose from the dead to deliver us from all sin.

Thus, the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policies should not be abolished. They should actually be made even stronger. The government should not publicly or privately promote homosexual behavior. It should condemn it!

But, it’s up to the Church of Christ (i.e., anyone who calls himself a Christian) to tell the wicked sinner, including himself, about the repentance, forgiveness, redemption, transformation, sanctification, and continual renewal available through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Word of God made flesh.

Secular Press Finally Agrees Pornography Harmful

While the Christian and conservative press have been issuing the clarion call that pornography is harmful, the secular and liberal press has failed to catch up until now:

The New York Times writes about women addicted to pornography – it turns out no one is safe from the ravages of pornography.

Tina Brown’s The Daily Beast carries an article about the violent home life of top porn star Jenna Jameson and the poverty ex-porn stars suffer.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has an opinion piece that could have been written by Dr. James Dobson, but it wasn’t. Here is something from the piece:

“Frequent porn viewing tends to stoke aggression:  a 2007 study found that 88 percent of 50 best-selling adult videos contain physical violence. For some men, porn is a slippery slope to child pornography – the subject of 116,000 online searches every day.”

Underage Drinking Linked to R-Rated Movies

Dartmouth Medical School researchers surveyed more than 2,400 children, grades five through eight, who reported that they’d never drunk alcohol. Within 13 to 26 months between the original survey and a follow up interview, three percent of the youngsters said they’d started drinking.

The children were also asked whether their parents allowed them to watch R-rated movies “sometimes” or “all the time.”

Analysis showed a strong link between viewing R-rated movies and underage drinking. This link remained strong even among children who said their parents frequently set and enforced limits.

“We think seeing the adult content actually changes their personality,” Dartmouth pediatrician James D. Sargent, M.D. says. He noted that PG-13 movies, as well as many TV shows, also frequently portray drinking and other adult situations.

Unequally Yoked

By Dr. Ted Baehr, Publisher of MOVIEGUIDE®

Recently in Washington, an attorney friend pointed out that career civil servants and federal officials were being driven out of their jobs and pressured to resign. The administration policy was to replace them with lesbian, gay, bisexual, “transgender” people, and others.

In fact, on the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute’s website, it calls for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender leaders to secure spots in the Obama administration. When they do, their tenure will last way past Obama’s term(s).

The impact of this radical infiltration of government is already being felt with private companies being harassed on spurious claims. As Sharon Sebastian[1] notes:

“Coming to the forefront of the Congressional agenda is a bill called ENDA – the cleverly named Employment Non-Discrimination Act. In actuality, it discriminates against employers of faith whether they be Jewish or Christian. ENDA will force employers with 15 or more employees to allow workers to gender-cross-dress or openly display homosexual conduct in the workplace. In effect, government wants to control how your business is managed based on whom you hire. Even gay employers who wish to run a professional business environment will be forced to succumb to a gender-confused employee’s style choice of the day. Christian and Jewish businesses, day care centers, auto repair shops, sports organizations, hospitals, private schools and so on can end up fined, punished or bankrupt if they do not comply with ENDA.

“Discrimination is banned in hiring whether employees are heterosexual or homosexual. Every employer should see to it. But, employees seeking “special privileges” based on personal choice of appearance or behavior to the disadvantage of the employer is an exception and infringement on employers’ rights. …

“President Obama has set government and faith on a collision course. Obama handpicked Chai Feldblum, a lesbian activist, as a commissioner of the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and chief strategist of ENDA. Ms. Feldblum reportedly seeks to subjugate the Constitutional rights of religious freedom to the wants of the gay community. She is quoted as ‘having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win.’ She is often credited with saying that when it comes to ENDA policies: ‘Gays win, Christians lose’ — though that may be more of a summed-up sentiment than a direct quote. In addition, Massachusetts Senator Barney Franks, who introduced EDNA, considers it his most important legislation.

“Obama handpicked a Gay “School Czar” who promotes homosexuality in schools and reportedly supports NAMBLA, an organization that believes in sex between men and boys. ….”

The White House

Looking at the Gay & Lesbian Leadership’s site, one wonders if any Christian leadership organizations have attempted the same influence and, if not, why not? Of course, if they did, they’d be condemned under the fallacy and unconstitutional idea of “separation of church and state.”

More importantly, how did we get to this situation? It’s mainly because we have forgotten the biblical principle not to be unequally yoked with heretics and hedonists and their ideas. In fact, we’ve allowed Marxists shibboleths such as tolerance, which is diametrically opposed to love and truth, to beguile us into joining forces and electing and appointing those who hate us.

If we are going to survive, we have to start operating as a Christian community set apart by God while also helping others to be transformed so they can be delivered from the besetting sins that are keeping them from fulfilling who they are in Christ and that are goading them into hating all things that are moral, decent and wise.

Her second book, Darwin’s Racists – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, addresses the global “evolution vs. creation” debate highlighting both the impact of Social Darwinism on America’s culture today and its influence on current policy coming out of Washington.

Morality Lessons From. . .Raquel Welch?

Raquel Welch, the “sex symbol” of the 1960′s and ’70′s, has become an unusual advocate for marriage and sexual standards. She recently told CNN that:  ”These days, nobody seems able to ‘keep it in their pants’ or honor a commitment! Raising the question: Is marriage still a viable option? I’m ashamed to admit that I myself have been married four times, and yet I still feel that it is the cornerstone of civilization, an essential institution that stabilizes society, provides a sanctuary for children and saves us from anarchy.

Raquel Welch in the 1973 THE THREE MUSKETEERS

“In stark contrast, a lack of sexual inhibitions, or as some call it, ‘sexual freedom,’ has taken the caution and discernment out of choosing a sexual partner, which used to be the equivalent of choosing a life partner. Without a commitment, the trust and loyalty between couples of childbearing age is missing and obviously leads to incidents of infidelity. No one seems immune.”

Ms. Welch tells anecdotes about friends who have teenagers and have been shocked to find sex among teenager to be commonplace.

She concludes, “Seriously, folks, if an aging sex symbol like me starts waving the red flag of caution over how low moral standards have plummeted, you know it’s gotta be pretty bad. In fact, it’s precisely because of the sexy image I’ve had that it’s important for me to speak up and say: Come on girls! Time to pull up our socks! We’re capable of so much better.”

Lord, Have Mercy on the Blind!

By David Outten, Movieguide(R)

Alvin McEwan’s piece in the Huffington Post regarding the “May Day” Christian prayer event in Washington, DC is classic hypocrisy. He labels Christian prayer an exercise in hatred while spewing hatred himself.

He opens by saying:

“According to organizers, the event was:

“to humble ourselves, pray, seek the face of God, and turn from our wicked ways–individually and as a nation.

“Translation: another one of those ‘America needs to repent and turn to God before he opens a big can of whip ass on us’ events religious right groups generally hold when they are either trying to raise more funds or galvanize more folks through scare tactics.”

Mr. McEwan must have vision problems. The whippin’ is not a coming attraction. We’re getting whipped already. The folks advocating free sex of all varieties have seen over 500,000 casualties from AIDS. Thirty-five million Americans are on welfare, in large part because the “modern”” family leaves out fathers. Our prisons house over 1.6 million inmates – mostly from these “modern” families. Now, that’s a whippin’!!!

Can it get worse? Yes.

Am I a master of scare tactics?

If you see a tornado ripping your community apart, would you warn people?

God can pour down fire like He did on Sodom and Gamorrah or He can flood the world like He did in Noah’s day, but all He really has to do is sit and watch what happens when His wisdom is rejected. Re-define marriage, re-define family, institute Bog Government socialism, and you’ll see the consequences. Wise choices have good consequences. Bad choices have bad consequences. That’s not hatred, bigotry or intolerance – it’s common sense!

Repentance is not a religious hot flash. It’s a recognition that you’ve made some bad decisions, followed by a commitment to do the right thing(s).

If you can’t see that America has done some bad things (like getting $19 trillion in debt), you need to read Romans Chapter One to learn why your vision is impaired:

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

“Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator – who \is forever praised. Amen.

“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

“Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”

You can choose to mock God. You can choose to mock those who pray to Him. You can call them hateful bigots. You can oppose everything they stand for, but you cannot escape the consequences of immorality any more than you can escape the consequences of gravity.

It is an act of love and wisdom to pray to God, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.”

Heaven on earth beats hell on earth any day.
